Nanpu Forest Bakery's story begins in 2006, when Mr. and Mrs. Takahashi, a young couple with a passion for bread and nature, decided to pursue their dream. Inspired by the surrounding forests and local produce, they envisioned a bakery that celebrated both. Starting small, they began baking in their own kitchen, using locally sourced ingredients and traditional techniques. Their dedication to quality and fresh flavours resonated with the community, and soon, their humble operation blossomed. In 2010, the bakery found its permanent home in a charming wooden building, constructed with locally sourced timber, at the Michi-no-Eki Minamifurano.
