Four Points by Sheraton Kamloops

Kamloops

A Strategic Hub for the Thompson Valley

The Four Points by Sheraton Kamloops was strategically positioned to cater to a diverse range of travelers. Its proximity to major transportation hubs, including Kamloops Airport and the Trans-Canada Highway, made it an easily accessible base for both domestic and international visitors. During its tenure under the Sheraton brand, the hotel's location within the city provided guests with convenient access to a wide range of attractions, including Thompson Rivers University, Aberdeen Mall, and the Tournament Capital Centre.

A Legacy of Exceptional Service

The hotel was well-regarded for providing a refined yet uncomplicated stay, anchored by a commitment to service excellence. From the moment guests arrived, they were greeted with warm hospitality and the consistent standards expected of a Marriott property. Following its sale and subsequent rebranding in 2024 to the Best Western Premier, it remains a significant landmark in the Aberdeen area. While the name has changed, the property continues to be remembered for its modern amenities and its role as a premier gateway to the BC Interior.

Accommodations

Spacious Comfort in the King Bed Suite

The accommodation at the Four Points by Sheraton Kamloops was designed with a focus on functional luxury and ample space. Our King Bed Suite provided a generous layout that separated the sleeping area from the living space, making it feel more like a private apartment than a standard hotel room. The room was anchored by the brand's signature Four Comfort Bed™, which offered a high-quality sleep experience that was much appreciated after a long day of travel. With large windows that allowed for plenty of natural light and a contemporary, neutral color palette, the suite served as a quiet and professional sanctuary within the bustling Aberdeen district.

The Corner Spa Bath Experience

The standout feature of this particular suite was the oversized corner spa bath, which added a touch of indulgence to the stay. Positioned as a focal point of the bathroom area, the jetted tub was the perfect way to unwind and soak away the fatigue of a BC road trip. This premium amenity, combined with the walk-in shower and modern stone finishes, elevated the room from a standard business hotel offering to a more leisurely, upscale experience. It was these thoughtful touches—the extra square footage and the private spa facilities—that made the Four Points a top-tier choice for travelers seeking a bit more comfort in the Kamloops area.

Local Area Attraction

The city of Kamloops itself is defined by its unique "high desert" landscape of silt bluffs, hoodoos, and the confluence of the North and South Thompson Rivers. For a true taste of local nature, the BC Wildlife Park is a must-visit, housing over 60 species of native animals including a rare Kermode "Spirit" bear, grizzly bears, and birds of prey. Hikers and photographers should head to Kenna Cartwright Nature Park, the largest municipal park in British Columbia, which offers over 40 kilometers of trails with sweeping panoramic views of the city and Kamloops Lake.

Sun Peaks Resort: A Four-Season Alpine Playground

Located just 45 minutes northeast of Kamloops, Sun Peaks Resort is Canada’s second-largest ski area and a premier destination for outdoor enthusiasts year-round. In the winter, its three distinct mountains—Tod, Sundance, and Mount Morrisey—offer over 4,200 acres of world-class terrain famous for "champagne powder" and sun-drenched bluebird days. Beyond the slopes, the pedestrian-only village serves as a charming hub for dog sledding, horse-drawn sleigh rides, and unique experiences like the Alpine Fondue & Starlight Descent.
